New Masoutis store in Kolonaki, in the heart of Athens! After the recent store openings in Palaio Faliro and Galatsi, Diamantis Masoutis S.A. opened a new store in the heart of Athens, at No 11 Amerikis Street, in Kolonaki. This is the company’s 56th store in Attica.
The opening was held on Monday 18 March 2019 and the ribbon was cut by Mrs Agapi Vardinogianni-Politi and Mr Ioannis Masoutis.

5th Masoutis store on Lesvos in Varia, Mytilini! Diamantis Masoutis S.A. held the opening of another store on Lesvos island. The new Masoutis store is located on the airport side of Varia, Mytilini, and the opening was held on Monday 22 April 2019.

2018 Masoutis has opened at Plateia shopping centre! Following its expansion to Attica with its new stores in Athens, Diamantis Masoutis S.A. is ending the year by opening a new store at the very heart of the city.

Diamantis Masoutis SA introduced Masinfo (code name of the QlikView solution, in cooperation with DCW Software Hellas) in 2013. The use of Masinfo permits the entry of data from numerous different sources: the central system, stores, warehouses. Data are analysed and processed and can be accessed in full detail at any time, from any location and using any device.

The 243 stores, 224 of which are retail while 19 are Cash & Carry wholesale, cover the prefectures of Makedonia, Thrace, Thessaly, Epirus, Thesprotia as well as the islands of Limnos and Lesvos and employ more than 5,800 people, a figure that swelled to 6,050 during the summer months of 2012.

In October 2011, Diamantis Masoutis opened the spacious and ultra-modern logistics centre at Kavalari, Thessaloniki, an investment of €50,000,000. This new logistics centre meets many modern specifications, being one of the largest and most up-to-date warehouse and distribution centres in Greece and the Balkans. 35 years on from the opening of the first store 2011 was celebrated as the Company’s 35th birthday. Great discounts were made throughout the year as a gesture of thanks to customers who have shown their loyalty and put their trust in the company over those years. 24 new retail stores - 17 Cash & Carry stores During this year, 24 new retail stores and 17 Cash & Carry stores opened. 18 of these retail stores were formerly of the ‘Atlantic’ supermarket chain. All the staff from Atlantic was retained, having also recognised its previous service. A basic condition of the agreement in the purchase of the chain was honouring all the debt owed to its 280 employees.

2010 4 new stores
Four new stores are opened, making a grand total of 193 retail and 17 wholesale stores.

2009 The first Green Store in Greece The first green store is opened up in December 2009 in Chloe, Kastoria.
Mr Diamantis Masoutis receives the innovation award for his work and vital contribution towards promoting and highlighting innovation through the creation of a green store.
Takeover of stores in Katerini and Volos
Seven new stores are added in Katerini through the takeover of the ‘Paschalidis’ chain, while 3 new stores are also added in Volos following the acquisition of stores formerly belonging to Georgakos & Co.

2008 180 retail - 15 Cash & Carry stores 2008: another new high of 180 and 15 retail and wholesale Cash & Carry stores is reached.

2007 161 retail stores- 15 Cash & Carry outlets January 2007: 3 new stores are added in Trikala (formerly ‘Euromarket Maios S.A.) and one in Kavala (formerly Emporiki Enosi LTD) making a total of 161 retail and 15 Cash & Carry stores in 2007.

2006 155 retail stores - 15 Cash & Carry stores 2006: Diamantis Masoutis S.A. has extended the number of its stores throughout Northern Greece to 155 retail and 15 Cash & Carry stores.

2005 Model Masoutis store at Mediterranean Cosmos 2005 is the year in which a new kind of retail store is established in Mediterranean Cosmos shopping mall (11th Km. on the Thessaloniki-Moudania Road)). A breezy, pleasant shopping hall with modern architecture, sharp and state-of-the-art decoration and colour scheme, clever lines and dimensions provide a different shopping experience.
Grand Masoutis in Veria 2005 sees Veria joining the towns with a Grand Masoutis at the 3rd km on the Via Egnatia Area, Veria-Thessaloniki Road.

2003 144 retail stores - 12 wholesale Cash & Carry stores By 2003, the Company Diamantis Masoutis S.A. has a total of 144 retail outlets and 12 wholesale Cash & Carry stores.

2002 Langadas June 2002 sees the opening of our new store in Langadas, at 39 Megalou Alexandrou Street (formerly’Dadinidis’). Serres Another store joins the chain in Promachon, Serres in 2002 (formerly ‘Tsintsaris’).

2001 49 new stores A total of 49 stores are added to the Masoutis chain in 2001 through the purchase of ‘Alpha Delta’, ‘Aladdin’ and ‘Mercato’.

1999 53 new stores from the purchase of 2 supermarket chains We add 53 new stores to our company through the take over of two large chains, namely ‘Duo Alpha’ and ‘Biska and Co’.

1998 is a watershed for the company, opening up 5 new stores in Thessaloniki, including a Grand Masoutis in Kalamaria.
The official opening of the Grand Masoutis in Kalamaria issues in a new era in retail sales in Thessaloniki with a new philosophy and design reflecting the needs of the contemporary consumer.

1 new store in Halkidiki Kallithea, Halkidiki gets its very own Masoutis in February 1998 (formerly ‘Andronikidis’).

1995 Grand Masoutis in Alexandria Alexandria is added to the places with Grand Masoutis in February 1995 at 60 Gr. Lambraki Street, having the same specifications as the other Grand Masoutis (formerly ‘Saravelos S.A.’).

7 new stores open up in Thessaloniki
June 1995 sees 6 more new stores (formerly ‘D. Gkagkoutis and Co S.A.) open in Thessaloniki, while in October of the same year a new store opens in Kalamaria at 53-55 I. Passalidi Street (formerly ‘Kontra S.A.’).

1994 The second Grand Masoutis sets up in Stavroupoli Following the model of the first Grand Masoutis in Eastern Thessaloniki (Thermi), a second Grand Masoutis is opened on the West side in Stavroupoli, Also boasting parking, a wide range of merchandise and low prices.

1993 5 new stores in Thessaloniki In April 1993, 3 new stores open in Thessaloniki (formerly ‘Sin Ena’).

Dioikitirio Another new store is opened in Thessaloniki in May 1993 in the area of Thessaloniki at Pasteur 12 at the Dioikitirio (formerly ‘Kronos-Karagiannidi’ and Co).

Triandria In June of the same year, a new store opens in Triandria at Mesolonghiou 28 (formerly 'Komvos S.A.').

1992 Kavala Five new stores are established in Kavala in July 1992 (formerly ‘Fthini Agora’).

The first stores in Katerini, Alexandroupoli and Orestiada open
In the same year, we venture out into the provinces, opening up in Katerini, Alexandroupoli and Orestiada. Specifically, in October 1990 we add another store in the area of Alexandroupoli (formerly ‘Konstantinidis).

1986 9 stores in Thessaloniki At the close of our first decade, 9 stores are in operation.

The first Grand Masoutis in Thermi In April 1986 we establish the first super-size Grand Masoutis in Thermi. This hypermarket sets a new trend in buying being the first large out-of-town supermarket with parking, a wider range of goods at much lower prices.
